Butter Avenue is a small little café at the corner of Yonge St and Yonge Blvd (close to Lawrence). The small pastry shop is impeccably clean on the interior and it made it seem like a small boutique considering how neat everything was. They offer small cakes and a large selection of macarons for those who can't get enough of them (the girlfriend).
Their wide selection of macarons were impressive and each one seemed to taste better than the next. My favorite ones were the Lychee, Matcha, and Earl Grey. The flavors are prominent inside and the crust was crisp and easily fell apart to make way for the gooey interior.
The prices are rather high, but I don't know how it compares to others in the area. A box of a 6 macarons will run you about $14, but its packaged nicely and the little morsels were good. The lady behind the counter was friendly and offered suggestions as well as answered our questions. Good place to grab some quick dessert. They also have another location in the Downtown core on Queen, so if that's closer to you, by all means.
