O Patio is an odd name for a Portuguese chicken place. Regardless, I was fully expecting a quick takeout joint because of the small outside looking place with an actual lack of a patio (maybe I couldn't see it??). However, when you explore a bit, it's more of a sit-down restaurant with two dining rooms, TVs and waiters rushing back and forth from the kitchen. It gets pretty hectic on the weekends.

I came by just to get my Portugese chicken fix. Not many places in the vicinity, so I figured I would stop by this one. They have a full fledged menu with a nice focus on seafood (like any real good Portugese place). They also have hot tables cafeteria style in case you wanted to go for any daily specials. I got the half chicken dinner, which comes with your choice of two sides. As with some other chicken restaurants in the city, it is cheaper to order takeout than dine in. The half chicken dinner ran me about $12 taxes in. Good deal.

The chicken pieces were cut up for me and the chicken was juicy and piping hot. The sauce comes on the side, but I drenched that chicken in that sauce as soon as I sat down. The chicken skin was lightly charred, but still moist, while the chicken meat wasn't dry at all despite the large white meat and it being chargrilled. The potatoes and rice that came with it were also pretty damn good. The potatoes were soft and broke from under the fork. Could barely pick it up because it was wet, but I enjoyed it. It soaked up the residual hot sauce nicely. The rice was standard.

The clientele here actually appeared to be Portugese as they were conversing with the wait staff and laughing in their own language (I guess I do not know Portugese to confirm). There were a couple of families in the place and it was quite busy. The kitchen is open concept so you could watch the chicken turn on the rotisserie, which is the best thing you can look at while your stomach growls.
