Attention all Pork lovers! This is the place you need to go.

Miami Smokers Urban Smokehouse made me believe that it was a BBQ joint where I could get smoked meat, ribs, and maybe even some brisket? (Fingers crossed). However, it is a place for all things pork. Acting more as a deli/charcuterie that offers up a wide variety of pig products and plates. The menu offers many different sandwiches, sausage plates, and even whole pigs and candied bacon!?

We ordered 2 kinds of sausage picadas to start the meal. "Picadas" have so many different meanings depending on which cultures you ask. The sausage "picada" at Miami Smokers is a sausage platter that comes together with a theme or sauce and is reminiscent of German currywurst. The Italian one comes with a tomato basil sauce and is topped with parmesan. Very good and I enjoy the tomato sauce that accompanies it.

The Floridian Sausage Picada is actually wild boar sausage that is served with spicy mayo and avocado puree (guacamole?) and some other herbs and spices like cilantro. With a bit more of a kick in the sauce, this sausage was done nicely. The boar sausage is a bit drier than one would like though.

We got the Smokers BLT as well. Large thick slices of bacon that is served with a green tomato, arugula (lettuce?), and avocado. The bacon slices are fantastic. The bacon is seasoned well and just salty enough for a good BLT to work. The sourdough bread slices are toasted nicely and offer a great crunch.

My friend got a Candied Bacon order on the side as well. You can just pick that up from the side. The bacon is covered in sugar (possibly molasses) and topped with peanuts. It is very crunchy and has enough sweet to balance the salty.

Its a rather small neighborhood so parking can be very limited. You can find some spots along the street or out back. Prices are fairly standard and the menu items are widely varied. The guy who was serving us was so damn slow though. It wasn't the food, just him. Menu is interesting so worth multiple visits to try everything. Not a BBQ place, but good enough to get your bacon craving taken care of.
