A review about a Vietnamese pho place without ordering pho?
Mi Pho Song Vu is a small Vietnamese restaurant that kind of looks like a diner from the outside. Despite that, it looks rather nice inside (and it probably was). It has a narrow dining area where you can sit down and the server will bring the menus. The menu is rather large, but primarily Vietnamese cuisine options like pho, vermicelli, and rice dishes. There might have been some Thai dishes as well, but nothing unique or worthy of note.
I ordered the Lemongrass chicken and pork chop with rice. I normally try to get pho at my first time with these places, but the rice dishes looked so good. The lemongrass pork and chicken had good char and great flavor. Portion sizes are fair, but not as large as many of their competitors around.
We also came to try the Curry Chicken wings because a coworker of mine had mentioned how great they were. The curry chicken wings were crisp and sauced nicely, but there was actually a bit too much grease on it to enjoy much. The chicken was good, but nothing overly special.
Parking is plentiful around the place, and it's not bad for groups either. The prices here are standard with most other pho places, and there seem to be a decent amount of them around as well. Can't go wrong with this place though.
