Premiere Ballroom (Dim Sum)

Our visit to Premiere was strictly for the dim sum. As soon as you walk into the "ballroom", you feel like you walked into an old Victorian European museum. It's so weird to see Chinese restaurants have random pictures of European war heroes and royalty plastered on the wall? It makes it a bit more weird to be eating chicken feet while those paintings are staring back at me in disgust.
Anyways, on to the food. We start with the Shrimp Dumplings, because as mentioned in almost all my dim sum reviews, hargow is the item that I judge most dim sum places by. The shrimp dumplings here were solid as the skin held together well and the filling was plump and aromatic. The Siu Mai were jumbo sized and had a good flavor to it as well.
The Shrimp Rice Roll Crepe was OK. Shrimp were rather small and the veggie ratio was a bit much for this carnivore. The Beef Honeycomb Tripe was excellent as flavor and texture were perfect. The Chicken Feet were also solid as it doesn't vary much place by place. The Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf was good, but not much meat and the portion is smaller than most.
I always try to wake up early for dim sum. The hope was that we would make it on time for the early bird special that many dim sum places have, but they only offer that during the weekdays unfortunately. Regardless, the food was still pretty good and service was fast. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the interior makes you feel like you're royalty.
