Here's the real deal on the Real McCoy. The place is a certified hole in the wall with a pair of cool dudes whipping up some mean burgers. The place isn't much to look at minus some plaques scattered on the wall and a dining area that consists of 2 bar stools and an old countertop.

Real McCoy is a place you look over because of how it looks on the outside, but this is why I continue to defend Yelp. Because without this site, Real McCoy would have been ignored by myself and countless others. Anyways, this place serves up the Yelp famous (and Toronto now I guess) "Mojo Burger"

The Mojo burger was a giant 8oz burger topped with whatever you like AND bacon. It's a no frills burger that is a dense piece of meat. The burger didn't look so big and then you pick it up. It's a heavy burger whose meat was different from other burger patties. Not in a bad way, but it was "unique"? Can't think of a better word. The burger goes well with the toppings and the bacon was thick and prominent in the burger. The bun is your standard sesame seed that did a good job of not disintegrating under the weight. Best way to describe it is that it is a fast food type of burger, but on steroids. (Size wise...not actual chemical injection). The fries are solid and thick cut. Meant for gravy and cheese curds I guess.

I've also tried the pizza slices. Huge thin slices of pizza that is served on a paper plate. I can't imagine how anyone could eat a large by themselves, but I have heard stories. The pizza is greasy, but good. The toppings are rather limited, but it is nice (and a bit odd) that I could get a decent pizza slice at a burger joint.

The guy running the counter was great. Service is easily more than 5 stars. He really seemed to care what I thought about his burger and being that I was having a rough day, his friendliness really meant a lot. Sappiness aside, I enjoy what they're doing here and I fully recommend you come here and grab yourself a burger. No more "gourmet" burger joints that cost an arm and leg with some magic pixie dust. This is the place to try, and if you don't like it, you won't be losing out.
