So we’re in Knoxville to watch my alma mater (Florida - Go Gators!) take on the Tennessee Volunteers in enemy territory.

We’re looking up places to park and find this decent sized parking lot by the highway (bit of a walk, but better than being stuck after a game). By this giant parking lot, we find this bbq spot that is apparently one of the best in town. We stop in and it’s this cool looking joint that is equal parts BBQ and sports bar. The interior is huge and there are TVs everywhere.

I ordered a Half Rack of Ribs cause I figured I need to get some . Their thin sauce is vinegar based it is damn good. The sauce was runny, sweet, and had a slight vinegary taste that balances the sweet. The ribs are thick and so tasty. We had some bbq out west in Nashville and I loved the ribs here way better than those in Nashville (can’t speak about Memphis though)

Because it was Saturday, they also had their smoked wings (Dry or Wet) for only 50 cents a piece (normally a $1/wing, which is still good). The smoked wings were great. Nice plump wings that retained a lot of the smoke and juice. The dry wings are dusted with their cajun bbq spices and are good, however, I really enjoyed their wet wings which were basted with their original bbq sauce. Good sweet flavor.

My friend got the Chopped Pork Sandwich, which looked good. The tiny bit I had was nice and smoky. No sauce and was a bit bland so make sure to add some of the sauces they offer at the table.

They have a Beer Garden Upstairs. Pretty cool spot, though being that it was the morning, it was barren. I imagine this is a pretty hip spot to be in during the weekend nights. The introvert in me would probably avoid, but definitely worth checking out as a college student in a college town.

Like mentioned before…huge parking lot across the street. Parking should be no issue. On Tennessee GameDays, you can park at that lot for free and its only a 20 min walk to the stadium from there. Free if you are eating at the restaurant. The bbq is good here. Stop by if you're in the city, you're a local, or you're even just making a pit stop off the highway. Get the Ribs and the wings!
