The Symposium Cafe is the standard family restaurant. It's just an old-fashioned type restaurant that serves up something for everyone. It's versatile, but doesn't specifically specialize in anything at all. If a diner had a modernized makeover, it would look like the Symposium Cafe. Nothing wrong with that, but it is what it is. They have a wide variety of selections from breakfast items to sandwiches, burgers, and salads.
They had all day breakfast so we came for brunch. I ordered the ham and swiss omelette, while the wife got their Three Egg Breakfast with Ham. She works in the area and swears by their hot chocolate too. Looks pretty solid...
Omelettes are something I crave from time to time. It's usually a safe thing to go with because its hard to mess up omelettes. This cafe did a pretty good job. There was a good amount of ham, but wishing for some more cheese. Also comes with a side of house potatoes.
The Three Egg Breakfast is a standard go to. The ham slices were big thick cuts of ham. Loved the ham slices. My girl was hoping for something a bit thinner but she's crazy. Ham Steaks are the way to go. Eggs were done well and the potatoes were very good.
The restaurant is solid overall. They were quite busy on a Saturday morning, but the service was slower than usual. The wife works around the area, so she frequents the place and says its just a standard. I would like to say something more about it, but its just rather bland. Nothing wrong with being that one restaurant that no one will argue with, but won't get excited about.
